Stargate SG-1, Kanada Amerika ortak yapımı bir bilim kurgu, macera dizisidir. Ä°lk 5 sezonu Showtime ve son 5 sezonu SCI FI kanallarında, Türkiye'de Yıldız Geçidi adıyla TRT ekranlarında yayınlanmıştır.
Stargate SG-1, 1993 yapımı olan ve uzaylılarla Mısır tanrıları arasında baÄŸ kuran Stargate filminin devamı olarak 1997 yılında çekilmeye baÅŸlanmıştır. Dizi, yıldız geçitleriyle galaksiyi dolaÅŸan keÅŸif takımı SG-1'in maceralarını konu alır. Bu yıldız geçitleri, gezegenler arası geçiÅŸ yapılan kapılardır. Dizi de, eski mısır tarihine de yer verilir.
Dizi sona ermeden 2 sezon önce Stargate Atlantis dizisi baÅŸlamıştır. GeliÅŸen olaylar iki dizi de birden paralel olarak iÅŸlenmiÅŸtir. Stargate Universe adlı 3. Stargate serisi de yapım aÅŸamasındadır.
Stargate SG-1, yayın hayatı boyunca 2 "Gemini Awards", 12 "Leo Awards" ve 5 "Saturn Awards" ödüllerini kazanmıştır. 7 kez de Emmy ödüllerine aday olmasına raÄŸmen kazanamamıştır. 10 sezon süren dizi, 9 sezon süren The X Files dizisinin "en uzun bilimkurgu dizisi" dalında ki rekorunu egale etmiÅŸtir.
