Adından da anlaşılacağı üzere Star Wars: The Clone Wars çizgi dizisi, Star Wars (Yıldız Savaşları) filminin animasyon versiyonudur. Konu olarak hemen hemen aynı olaylar işlenir. Filminde ki gibi animasyon dizisinde de Cumhuriyetçiler ile Ayrılıkçılar arasında ki yıldız savaşları anlatılır.
