Sex and the City, Amerika HBO televizyonunda 1998 ve 2004 yılları arasından 6 sezon boyunca yayınlanmış bir romantik komedi dizisidir. "Candace Bushnell" 'in aynı adlı romanından televizyona uyarlanmıştır. Türkiye'de ilk olarak Cine5 ekranlarında gösterilmiştir. Şu anda da Digiturk Platformunda yayınlanmaktadır.
Dizi, New York'ta yaşayan kariyer sahibi dört çekici kadının maceralarını anlatır. Bu dört arkadaştan Carrie, kadın erkek ilişkileri ve seks üzerine bir gazetede köşe yazarlığı yapmaktadır ve yaşadığı ilişkiler anlatmaktadır. Miranda, avukatlık yapmaktadır ve ilişkiler konusunda katı kurallara sahiptir. Samantha, halka ilişkiler şirketi olan, tek gecelik ilişkileri tercih eden bir kadındır. Charlotte ise bu arkadaş grubunun en romantik ve tutucu üyesidir. Bu dört zıt karakterin tek ortak noktası ise birbirlerine anlattıkları seks hayatlarıdır.
Sex and the City, 6 sezon 94 bölümlük yayın hayatı boyunca 50'nin üzerinde Emmy Ödüllü'ne aday gösterilmiştir, 7 Emmy Ödülü kazanmıştır. 8 kezde Altın Küre Ödülü'nü müzesine götürmüştür.
