Cheers, 1982 ve 1993 yılları arasında NBC televizyonun da yayınlanmış bir komedi sitcom dizisidir. Zamanının en popüler sitcom dizisi olmuştur. Cheers 1993 yılında sona erdikten sonra Cheers dizisi oyuncularından Dr. Frasier'ın başrollerinde oynadığı bir devam dizisi olan Frasier yayınlanmya başlamıştır.
Adını eski bir beyzbol oyuncusu olan Sam Malone'un işlettiği Cheers adlı bardan alan dizi, bu barda yaşanan komik olayları, tatlı atışmaları, kavgaları, romantizmi... konu alıyor. "Where Everybody Knows Your Name (Herkesin Adınızı Bildiği Yer)" ise dizisinin ana sloganıdır.
Sam, bar işletmesine rağmen geçmişte yaşadığı alkol problemleri nedeniyle alkolü tamamen bırakmıştır. Cheers'in diğer bir ortağı ise Sam'in spor hayatından eski koçu, yeni ortağı olan Ernie, nam-ı diğer Coach'tur. Ernie dizi yayında iken gerçek hayatta vefat etmesi nedeniyle sadece 3 sezon oynayabilmiştir. Barın en komik isimlerinden biridir.
Cheers'in garsonlarından Diane, üniversite mezunu entellektüel bir kadın olmasına rağmen sevgilisi tarafından bu barda terkedilmesinden sonra Sam'in teklifi ile barda çalışmaya başlamıştır. Barın diğer bir garsonu ise Carla'dır. Hırçın ve kaba bir karaktere sahip olan Carla, birbirinden iğrenç dört çocuğun annesi ve sıkı bir Boston Red Sox taraftarıdır. Couch'on ölümünden sonra katılan Woody ise diğer bir Cheers çalışanıdır ve katıksız salak bir karaktere sahiptir.
Barın müdavimlerinden Norm karısıyla ilgili yaptığı harika esprilerle ünlüdür. Psikiyatrist Dr. Frasier barın garsonlarından Diane ile çıkması vesilesiyle Cheers'in müdavimlerinden biri olmuştur. Cliff ise Diane'den sonra barda ki en entellektüel kişiliktir. Postacı olmasına rağmen çok geniş bir bilgi yelpazesine sahiptir.
Cheers 11 sezonluk yayın hayatı boyunca 28 Emmy Ödülü, 6'da Altın Küre Ödülü kazanarak büyük bir başarıya imza atmış efsane komedi dizilerinden biridir.
